About the place

Teachers show a skill, practise it with the children, then support them as they try it themselves. 1 2 Phonics lessons move from letter sounds through songs and listening games to blending sounds into words, spelling and reading simple sentences. 3 4 The academy says in-person groups average 5-7 children with a maximum of 10, while online lessons are always 1-to-1. 5 6 Teachers share observations about each child's reading and explain the skills they are practising next. 7
